Jack Halpern, Founder and CEO of My Elder Advocate, is a passionate champion of elder care rights and a fierce fighter for elder care issues. He and his trained team at My Elder Advocate help clients navigate the difficult and confusing pathways of elder care, stepping in when elders and their families need us most. As a result, elders and their families have peace of mind and confidence knowing that a plan of action is in place to help them maintain control, preserve their dignity and protect their independence, finances, property and rights.
Combining a commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of elders and a fierce sense of right and wrong has earned Jack a reputation as an uncompromising elder advocate. My Elder Advocate’s brand of advocacy has affected thousands of elders across the country.
Jack is involved in training each of our Elder Advocates and educates community groups, trade associations, other advocacy groups, and at many symposia across the country. His seminars on Elder Care and Abuse are widely attended by both consumers and professionals. Jack has also appeared as an expert witness on Court TV and as a commentator on network and cable television. Jack’s well-known blog has been visited by over a million people wishing to learn more about elder care services and elder abuse. His compassionate yet hard-hitting approach has attracted caregivers, elder care professionals, regulators, and politicians.
He holds a Masters of Professional Studies Degree with a Major in Long Term Care Administration from C.W. Post College in Greenvale, Long Island.
Throughout his career, Jack has held several key leadership roles in the Nursing Home Industry. These included administrator and executive management, supervising, housekeeping, and building services. He is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in both New York and New Jersey.

Chief Operating Officer, Founder
Claudine Halpern, COO of My Elder Advocate, is the business development driving force behind the company. She brings her 35 years of experience creating solutions for financial services, along with her entrepreneurial spirit and operations experience, to the endeavor. Claudine manages operations, and the growth of our franchise systems and opportunities. She also co-founded Rate Mom’s Nursing Home, where she is the COO.
Claudine is a chameleon; she has worked in many different situations during her more than thirty-five years in business; as a management consultant, Claudine advised many of the major brokerage, insurance, and financial houses, completing more than fifteen major multi million dollar initiatives during her last ten years in the business. As a crisis manager of note for major corporations, Claudine successfully brought in projects and products that other firms would not touch. As a specialist in business and management consultancy, Claudine consulted to emerging businesses across the spectrum.
Claudine also evaluated emerging products and companies for viability in the marketplace and established management, operations and business structures for emerging companies across the spectrum valuated between $2,000,000 to $30,000,000.
She created the Patent Pending process called The MEA Method (TM), which will allow an educated and trained franchisee to become an elder advocate quickly, using the over 40 years of experience that My Elder Advocate represents.

John Armatas thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. He has owned and operated numerous small businesses (both franchise and independents) and has a passion for helping others identify a business opportunity that fits their personal profile.
Mr. Armatas is a graduate of Florida Southern College and lives a very active lifestyle and considers himself simply, a recreationalist. He has run nearly 55K miles. He and wife are raising four children and are active in their endeavors.
Belinda Colón supplies organizational support to Claudine Halpern, Jack Halpern and the MY Elder Advocate (MEA) business partners. She has many years of experience producing and managing art and community-related events and uses her organizational skills and tech-saviness to maintain communication channels between MEA and its community.
Raised by her grandparents, the issues around elder care are close to her heart and she is passionate about MEA’s mission and accomplishments. A mother of two young children, Belinda grew up in Orange County, New York and is currently working to obtain an Arts Management degree from Empire State College.
